The Association was founded on the 29th February 1992 and registered with the Kennel Club in April 1993. The Association covers the Seven counties of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire Northamptonshire and Yorkshire.
The Association came about when a number of breeders Exhibitors, Members of the Norfolk Club of GB and mainly from the sivler jubilee committee of 1989, talked about a Midland/Northern branch for Norfolk Terrier Breeders, exhibitors and pet owners.
The aim of the association is to promote the well being of the Norfolk breed including health, fitness, diet, breeding and showing. A breed fit for purpose.
The association has two shows a year. In March we have the Annual General Meeting Preceeing the Open show. Normally in November is the Championship show where Kennel club Challenge Certificates are offered.
Other activities such as Judges seminars, trimming and handling seminars are occasionally held.
